LOL at your response to Grant. There are elements of this song that remind me of Donkey Kong. Always a good thing.

Anyway, this song has a very developed sound. Very professional. I really like what you've been doing recently. Your writing skills have matured greatly since your first few songs. And you're still young, so this is actually really impressive. The earlier someone starts writing and playing music, the better. Be glad you did. It's definitely paying off, and I'm looking forward to seeing great things coming from you.

Yeah, he's right, the limiter does take away from the song. I'm assuming you just haven't even noticed that the new FL adds a limiter to the master track by default. Instead of that, I usually use a compressor.

Anyway, just make sure you check that when you start a new song, or edit the others. But other than that, this song is great! Sounds way more trancy than any trance song I've ever tried to make. Also, you mask FL pretty well. Good, good. I'm anxious to hear more.

Seriously though, I didn't expect this. Sounds great. I really like it, and want to hear more. Yeah, the mixing could use work, but that's expected. Also, in my opinion, the drums don't quite compliment the music like I feel they should. They sound too "metal" for ambient (I did the same exact thing when I first started making techno); you should get some loops off the Innernet. And I think you could get the best of both worlds if you extended this song, and made it pick up, and drop a trance beat. later in the song. That would be SICK. Just my thoughts. Either way, I really do like it.

Cool idea

I like the piano progression that comes in at the second half of the song. And all the instruments mix together well, however, what I've noticed about this song (and a few others as well), is that it's pretty obvious that you use Fruity Loops. At least to a committed FL user. The keys are plain and dry; I'm assuming you just use the default setting. If you do, you should avoid that. Mess with the knobs, and even EQ it, and you can hide it pretty easily. Otherwise, all the /FL/tards will jump all over you and harsh your ratings. Also, it sounds like most of the instruments are pretty dry. Effects are the key, my friend. Add some flavor!

As you could guess...

I love it. Even if other people think it's generic, it has that unique Fiji sound to it, and that's what usually sells me. I really liked the effect the vocals gave. This song would be perfect for one of those dramatic moments in a movie where the sound is gone, and only the music plays as it pans through different scenes. Or even the music that pulls the ending into the credits. Sounds great. Keep it up.

P.S. I know my reviews are always over-positive, but I really mean everything I say. When I hear talent and potential, I let the artist just do what they do, and trust that they'll do it right. And you always do. By this point, the song has looped like 4 times, and I like it more each time I hear it. Are you ever going to compile an album, so I can put it on my iPod, and have something organized to listen to?
